THE FAMILY WORKSHEET
The family worksheet is an Excel worksheet that you can download to your own computer. Jim Mathews, a futurist in Salt Lake, Utah and I developed this worksheet for a Personal Futures Workshop we did together in Toronto. You simply fill in the names and present ages of yourself and your family members. The worksheet will then show everyone's ages and life stages up to your age 100.
Because the last three stages of life are health related, they are not related to chronological age, so the worksheet assumes you will be a healthy Independent Elder at age 100.
You will need Excel to open the file. When you open the file, you will see data in the columns that illustrates how the worksheet works. Just type in names and ages and the data will be replaced with your information.The worksheet was updatedAugust 5, 2008.

This is the newest version of the Personal Futures Workbook, and you can downlod it FREE. And share it. It's a PDF file, so you will need Adobe Reader 7.0 or higher (available free at Adobe.com). You can copy, fill in your personal information, print and save on your computer in this version.

Dissertation: PERSONAL FUTURES: FORESIGHT AND FUTURES STUDIES FOR INDIVIDUALS
If you want to read about my research that led to the development of concepts about personal futures, you are welcome to a copy (Free) of my dissertation. This will be a PDF file, which reduces the file size substantially. The first chapter summarizes the dissertation and results, the second chapter offers a foundation in futures studies literature and the sixth chapter details the conclusions from the research. A copy of the original workbook is in the appendix.
